Viewed from above.

Standing on the edge of reason I look from high to the crowd beneath me Each face different from the next Some bewildered Most perplexed This man they seek Redemption beats him But what release when chains are heavy Manacled by invisible tethers Humanity pretends that all is well Eyes closed tightly The truth to frightening Witnesses are not in favour The horror of the tyrants fists of fury The crowd below Worships freely A pretence so great He knows they love him Truly Freely As I gaze from way up high I drop my ladder down from the sky The first to try may slip and fall The multitude will hear my call To not be blinded by visions of glory This man who would have them believe him righteous Climbers ascend to destroy his piety Don't be fooled by those false prophets Who would tell you now That they are worthy Delivering nothing While offering riches Politicians Sons of bitches The throng, like

Summer 2013,

Whenever I am feeling blue A day like this As the sun shines through Warming me To the core In this short life I could not ask for more This is my life Warts and all Sometimes up The occasional fall Stumbling through it every day Working for an average? wage The heat within is plain to see  A healthy tan Short bared knees Insects nipping As the grass is cut Vigilant I won't be caught The life of man is dampened by The northern winds  They destroy our hopes Winters dawn Causing me pain Chilled And sad Frustration plain. Now my worries disapear This month has proven The hottest of the year Up with the lark Despite myself I wander In this natural haven Buzzards Peer Pheasants brazen I wish that every years summer Could show me such bliss The sweetest of aromas Around every ditch The warmth of the wind Massages my soul The star in her majesty Appears as if golden The times that we've had The memories tokens Stolen by chance

Beyond my sight Where I cannot look For fear of discovering An ugly truth The blinding deceit The lies of fools Who don't bear witness To anything they have said How deep is the hole The inky blackness That dwells within Their stone cold hearts What thought of others Who struggle through life Light a distant pin prick A glimmer of hope Always there Just out of reach Washed away now By the decisions of the chosen ones So deep in the hole They cannot come back Veiled in the ignorance Of the men at the top When my friends When Will it Ever stop.
