The winds of change are blown in
Frost in the garden
Glistens
Catching your eye
In silence you listen


We are capable of great beauty
Of seeing the good in those driven by duty
The nurse who tends
Or listens truly
She will not judge
Caring fully

We are human

We keep on going
Through thick and thin
Not two coins for symmetrical rubbing
Keep moving on, poverty stricken

Do you remember
Don't ever forget
A sandy beach
Playing when young
Carrying buckets from the shore
A moat to fill
The tides bring more

A smile you were offered
When love came calling
You fell so hard
You are still falling

This life
The ups
The pleasure taken

Happy times
In moments of leisure
Optimism
Freely found
A human life
